Auditec Auditory Test Dichotic Digits, Standard Version

The Dichotic Digits-Standard© test is an auditory processing disorder test using verbal stimuli. It is considered a dichotic test for binaural integration sensitive to brainstem, cortical, and corpus callosal lesions.

This established test assesses the ability to process different materials arriving at the ears simultaneously. Fifty sets of digits, one through nine (except seven, having two syllables) are presented either in single pairs or double pairs. The digits begin and end simultaneously. Administration time is approximately ten minutes.

Dichotic Digits-Standard includes a) audio recording, and b) instructions and score forms as printable pdf files. The one-page instructions consist of administration, scoring, and interpretation information. Normative data¹ for double digits is included; however, it is only available for ages 11 and up.
