Auditec Auditory Test Dichotic Consonant-Vowel

The Dichotic Consonant-Vowel© (DCV) test is for binaural integration. It consists of pairs of consonant-vowel (CV) syllables. They are recorded: 1) with simultaneous onset, and 2) with staggered onset. In the latter (staggered), one CV leads the other by 90 milliseconds. Three major behavioral measures can be observed: 1) a right ear advantage, 2) a lag effect, and 3) an auditory capacity effect.

The Dichotic Consonant-Vowel test includes a) audio recording, and b) instructions and score forms as printable pdf files. The three-page instructions consist of administration and interpretation. Normative data is included for ages 5 and up.
