Auditec Auditory Test Time Compressed Sentence Test TCST

The Time Compressed Sentence Test© (TCST) is for identifying and quantifying disorders of auditory processing in children specifically the child’s ability to understand acoustically distorted or rapid rates of speech.

In addition, results of testing with the TCST may yield insights into children with slow reaction times and speed of mental processing. It is considered a monaural low redundancy speech test (monaural separation closure -MSC) sensitive to brainstem and cortical lesions. The developer states the TCST can be administered and scored in less than 15 minutes.
